The University has developed an internal policy and procedure that provide a prompt, fair, and impartial process for those involved in an allegation of sexual harassment or retaliation. The University values and upholds the equal dignity of all members of its community and strives to balance the rights of the parties in the grievance process.

The core purpose of this policy is the prohibition of sexual harassment and retaliation. When an alleged violation of this policy is reported, the allegations are subject to resolution using the University’s formal grievance process.

Title IX Coordinator

Sharonda Porter serves as the Title IX Coordinator and oversees all Title IX policies. The Title IX Coordinator has the primary responsibility for coordinating the University’s efforts related to the intake, investigation, resolution, and implementation of supportive measures to stop, remediate, and prevent sexual harassment and retaliation prohibited under Title IX Final Rule and university policy.

Any member or potential member of the pg电子下载 community may request information or advice, including whether certain conduct violates policy; seek informal resolution; or file a Formal Complaint. Again, anyone with knowledge of sexual harassment is encouraged to bring their concerns to the Title IX Coordinator.

Title IX and Sexual Misconduct

The university policy defines sexual misconduct offenses to include, but not limited to:

All forms of sexual misconduct can be committed by men or women and against other men or women.

Sexual Exploitation

Sexual exploitation occurs when a student takes non-consensual or abusive sexual advantage of another for his/her own advantage or benefit, or to benefit or advantage anyone other than the one being exploited, and that behavior does not otherwise constitute one of other sexual misconduct offenses. Examples of sexual exploitation include, but are not limited to:

  • Invasion of sexual privacy;
  • prostituting another student;
  • non-consensual video or audio-taping of sexual activity (including use of cell phone);
  • positioning camera and taking photos/videos in such a way as to capture another person’s body revealing their exposed genitals or other sexual body parts;
  • going beyond the boundaries of consent (such as letting your friends hide in the closet to watch you having consensual sex);
  • engaging in voyeurism;
  • knowingly transmitting an STI or HIV to another student;
  • Exposing one’s genitals in non-consensual circumstances; inducing another to expose their genitals;
  • Sexually-based stalking and/or bullying may also be forms of sexual exploitation
